Session model
3 chaptersThe Open Measurement Interface Definition (OMID) uses the ad session as its unit of measurement: the integration creates a session and declares the creative type and impression criteria, and the OM Service dispatches session events and geometry data to verification scripts for the lifetime of that session. This chapter expands into three sub-pages: lifecycle & ownership, access modes & geometry, and impression criteria.

4 chaptersThe Open Measurement Interface Definition (OMID) exposes two client APIs: the session client, used by the integration (ad SDK / publisher) to create and drive a session, and the verification client, used by measurement vendors to subscribe to session events. Within one session the session side produces events and the verification side consumes them.

0 chaptersA machine-readable registry of every Open Measurement Interface Definition (OMID) enumeration constant: event types, impression criteria, creative types, access modes, player states, obstruction reasons and more, with verbatim official descriptions and deprecation flags (e.g. AccessMode.DOMAIN removed in 1.5.4, AdEventType.VIDEO superseded by MEDIA).

4 chaptersThe Open Measurement Interface Definition (OMID) specification itself is platform-neutral, with three implementation lines: JavaScript, iOS and Android. Connected TV (CTV) support has been extended inside the JS implementation since 1.4. This chapter gives each platform's library form, version and public class listing, plus a naming comparison for the same concepts across all three.

3 chaptersThe Open Measurement Interface Definition (OMID) does not itself define an ad delivery format; verification script resources and their parameters are carried by the ad formats. On the request side OpenRTB / AdCOM declares OMID support for the placement and the creative and passes the session partner identity; on the response side the VAST AdVerifications element supplies the verification script resources.
