Versions & compliance overview

The version sequence of the Open Measurement Interface Definition (OMID) specification since 1.0 and what each version added: 1.2 supports browser integration, 1.3 improves ad session classification and adds audio support, 1.4 adds CTV events, 1.5 adds web video and CTV (Samsung, LG) support, and 1.6 adds device attestation. The spec version and the libraryVersion are not the same sequence: each of the three platforms ships its own library versions, and the JS library version carries more revisions than the spec.

Device attestation addresses the misrepresentation of device information in Connected TV (CTV) and mobile advertising: device manufacturers issue privacy-preserving attestations that let buyers independently verify that the inventory is genuine. Supported from OM SDK 1.6.0 on Fire TV and Apple devices, and reached from the verification client via the attest method.
